tattooing some classic roses
me tattooing some classic black & grey roses on the arm of my friend nils… using micky sharpz machines, 7 liner needle for outlines and a 7 soft edge magnum for shading i am working at BLUT ROYALE tattoo shop in worms, germany blutroyale.de (website under construction at the moment) this clip was recorded at needles n´ink tattoo shop in grünstadt, germany edit: i don’t know why, but it seems to be impossible for me to add a comment to this video. so i use the description to thank you all for the nice comments! and to answer some questions – like josecskate wrote i also think clean linework is much more difficult than shading. and for the shading i ALWAYS use magnum needles (with soft edges). i think round shaders are shit, cause the shading mostly looks like scratches, it’s not soft and clean, it destroys the skin much more than magnum and it takes much more time. by the way, today i prefer rotary machines. thanks and best regards oliver

real nice!
that is gorgeous work! i dislike artwork of nature since nature is at its perfection- but phenomenal flowers =o)
thanks for posting up the kinds of needle you use. how do you set your shader? it sounds like the frequency is as high or higher than your liner? i am pretty new.. throw me a bone!
Skills bro for sure..is shading harder than line work..and do you prefer magz over round shader…you got MADD skillz!!
Whats the secret to using a Magnum Shader?
i disagree line work is harder then shade work.
there is nothing like a clean line
nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ha! Vlad Tepes shirt! Nice f-ing work ,brother!
are u using next generation machines?
no, when i made the video i used micky sharps machines. but my partner has a next generation machine but i think the weight of it is too heavy. today i only use rotary machines and at the moment i make a lot of handpoking experiments
nice work man.. im just getting started with tattooing.. how do i set my machine for a solid black shade.. like for a tribal? appreciate any tips..
realy nice lines and shading
im a beginner, anyone here can help me how to make a neat outlining? coz when i do the outlining the ink doesnt goes thru the skin very well and the tendency is i repeat twice/thrice the outlining that will be waste of time and the outcome is not neat as what i saw in the video..thanks!
@imbien here were some of my problems with that as a noob for one its not like drawing so u gotta slow down a bit also dont try to do a lot at once go back an re dip frequently but not too much an dont out line too much or youll scare ur client an itll look bad when it heals so just try some slow an steady strokes an make sure the needle is out far enought my problem was iwas afraid to hurt the person and wasnt going as deep as i shouldve been
@jpinfante12 crank every the output up all the way
go deeper and dont angle it
Beautiful, i don’t know why people are scared of the magnum shaders, the outcome is so nice!
thx man!
really helpful n_n
its that a 7round line?
my gosh those roses turned out beautiful
is that just black in your shading with or greywash?? looks dark, nice work
@imbien hey add me as a friend if ya like ive only been tattooin since last march but have some nice friends in the business an do alot of networkin the key to a good outline i find is like matt30666 said nice an slow an steady you might see pro’s bangin out lines really quick but remember theyve been doin it years. also i always work from left to right or bottom to top. this guy is workin down which means he workin against the machine not my favoured style. an stretchin the skin enough is vital
is the shader a pual rogers?
BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK!
is that straight black ink or a wash.
thats a hornet tattoo machine ?
